The Maxxima MLN-51 3 LED Night Light With Sensor is your basic, energy-efficient night light. As the description mentions it uses 3 LEDs and has a light sensor so it is turned off during the day to save energy.
The light put off by this nightlight is pure-white and is softened by the translucent plastic covering. In fact, you can't tell there are LEDs inside, much less that there are three. The size of the nightlight is a little large, but the light overall has very clean styling. It does not block both outlets when you plug it in either. This would be a nice light for modern or utilitarian decor. It will light up a medium sized room (up to 15 feet x 15 feet) without too much trouble.
I would recommend using this night light in rooms other than a bedroom or bathroom at night just due to the whiteness of the light. It works well in a living room, utility area, or kitchen. There is an amber version of this light (Maxxima MLN-51A) that emits a warmer glow - I think that model would be better if you want to have a night light on in a room where you are regularly sleeping.
