For some reason, neither Home Depot nor Lowe's was carrying padded seats... with metal hinges in particular. I looked on line and found that we were going to be paying 2-3 times what HD or Lowe's were selling theirs for... for some reason, I decided to check out Amazon... and viola! This is exactly what we were looking for....and I think this was even the brand at one of the stores at which I was looking.
We have been extremely happy with our purchase. It is well made... the hinges are nice and tight... there is no slipping... and it remains in excellent condition after a year of use.
I recommend this product to anyone looking for a sturdy seat with metal hinges at an excellent price (not to mention free shipping)!
