I bought this saw to replace a ten year old McCulloch Eager Beaver II 16" gas chain saw and I was very concerned about the lower power also about the high current demand but I'm pleased with the product. It runs fine on a 25ft extension plugged into a 15 amp circuit. Very quiet and easy to use. Weighs a lot less than the gas engine chain saw but seems to have about the same power. Chain adjustment is tool less and very easy - a wrench and screw driver were needed for the gas chain saw and it had to be adjusted cold, then again when warm and again if it got hot.
