Customer Review: Depends on what you're using it for.

I bought these gloves for an arctic environment. I work in -20 to -40 temperatures and the gloves did a sufficient job, given that they're only rated to 0 degrees. I work in the oilfield and I got these gloves because I like Mechanix gloves over and I figured they would be perfect for my working environment. In the past I've worn Mechanix Wear MFF-02-011 Fast Fit Gloves, Red, XL and they're great. I wore them for work, fourwheeling, chores, etc. They're a great versatile glove. I bought the cold weather glove expecting the same.
Pros:
Price - It's worth a shot if you buy them on Amazon and can wait for the free shipping. This price is way better than any hardware store in town.
Comfort - They were pretty comfortable. I didn't have problems with the lining as others did.
Durable - They seem to be well made as far as stitching and fabric goes. They seem to be made to last.
Style - I like the way they look too. Not that has any bearing on their porformance.
Cons:
Ease of use - One thing I didn't like (probably the most) was how hard they were to get on and off. I'm used to the Fast Fit gloves that are easy to get on and off. These had a velcro strap that doesn't really give much room for adjustment. Even with the strap not secured, they were still hard to get on and off. I ended up cutting the strap off.
Grip - When the temperature drops, you lose the grip. If the temperature drops below freezing, be careful because you if you're swinging a hammer, it might slip. Also the grip doesn't give you the feel of regular mechanix gloves.
Versatility - I kept having to take them off. It was hard to grip small objects. There are better Mechanix gloves out there if this is what you're looking for.
The two things I didn't like about them is what gave them three starts. They were just OK. I'm going to try them out four wheeling and see how they perform.

Recently a work policy made us switch to gloves with knuckle protection. We've been using the Mechanix Wear SHD-91-011 Safety Mpact ORHD Hi-Viz Gloves, Yellow, XLarge. If you have the money, they are awesome. My work provided them for me, so I got a free trial run pretty much. There is also an inuslated version with a different grip that may be more suitable.
To sum it up, I thought they were okay. I'm taking them home with me and going to use them for shoveling snow and four wheeling. Using them for work just didn't suit me. Consider what you're using them for before you decide to purchase. If possible, try them out first to make sure you can deal with the fitting issue.
