Ok, just ignore that $75 list price. Either that's a misprint or someone ingested a controlled substance while typing. These gloves might save you some scraped knuckles or worse while exercising your inner mechanic. They sell just about everywhere for around 20 bucks and they are both functional and add a layer of safety to your project. Wait until they are on special at $15 on Amazon and you'll save both your knuckles and your wallet.Customer Review: Good for work gloves, didn't last very long though

I purchased these gloves locally for about $20 and they are terrific. I love the fit of the gloves and the tips of the fingers leave me with enough dexterity to peel backing from tape. Another nice find was that I could use my iPhone with the gloves on. My only complaint about these gloves is that they did not last nearly as long as I could've hoped. I've worn them for about 12 days out of the last 30 and the thumb pad on the right hand has already worn through as well as the webbing between the thumb and index finger. I'm torn with replacing them with another pair of the same.Customer Review: Great Gloves

I got this for my dad as a gift or possibly more of a replacement. I pretty much destroyed the cheap gloves that we used for working on cars. These are beyond in the difference in quality. These gloves are awesome!

I really used to like these Mechanix gloves but they wear out faster than any other glove that I have tried. I bought them by the dozen to get a better price and the company will only occasionally stand by their warranty which seems to change quite often.
I don't use the gloves for anything unusual, just working on cars, lawn equipment and around the yard. I don't handle anything abrasive so I do not understand why they wear out so fast and I mean fast. In the past 2 years I have gone through probably a dozen of these gloves. The fingers wear right through.
A couple of times I was able to get replacements for 2 pairs that wore out. Other times the company said wear was not covered by the warranty! I have given up buying them as they are too expensive for the life that I get out of them. If you only occasionally need to wear gloves then these might be worthwhile for you. For me I am using some much cheaper (1/3 the cost) gloves that are lasting significantly longer, they are made by ROC from rayon and bamboo with rough texture palms. I bought them for when I go fishing and found they work great around the house.

Great work gloves, though like wearing any other gloves it's fairly difficult to manipulate small items (1/4" nuts, short screws, etc.). In class, we were working on electric motors and the motor we had ran HOT! I was able to hold onto the motor with barely any heat transfer and wouldn't have been able to hold onto it without the gloves.
