In addition to providing an efficient work surface for food prep, the Avalon island works well as a buffet. Perfect for the serious baker, the cart is topped with premium, 1-1/2-inch-thick granite with a gracefully-beveled edge. Granite is a luxurious, yet highly practical work surface that?s easy-to-clean and maintain. Plus, since it doesn?t transfer heat, it helps keep pie crusts and pastry dough from sticking when rolled out.
The Avalon's antique finish is hand-rubbed along the edges to reveal hints of a contrasting undercoat--creating a vintage, distressed patina that complements any kitchen décor. Two drawers store napkins and silverware, while a roomy storage space below conceals bulky kitchen appliances. Stylish, bun feet screw off and if desired, may be replaced with industrial-strength casters that lock into place for safe, secure food preparation. The island stands 42 inches wide, 20 inches deep, and 36 inches high.
