I've had it almost a month and still have not had to charge the battery. I have used it for driving screws and drilling in metal. Nice compact size, although a little big to get in my carry around toolbox w/ my other hand tools like I did w/ my Craftsman bend-in-the-middle screwdriver. It's worth it for the extra power and long lasting battery w/ spare. My Craftsman did not have an interchangable battery. I took the battery charger out of the included nylon case to make room for a box of bits. The one-handed chuck is very nice.Customer Review: A Great Product

The Milwaukee 2401-22 is a great product. It is light in weight and strong enough for most home and some commercial jobs. A caution should be excercise in noting if it has a drill chuck for drilling or is a driver only.Customer Review: A Winner for Me

I purchased this for routine around the house work and, hopefully, some of my woodworking projects. I've had the drill about 6 months and it has met and exceeded nearly all expectations. Solid construction, good battery life, and powerful. I have been very pleased because my last drill (Delta) was a abysmal failure - batteries failing in less then two months. Milwaukee has made me a fan. The one annoyance I have is the knob that controls drill rotation direction is easily hit by my hand and the setting accidentally changed. I would have liked some type of lock device on that setting. This would have been 5 stars if not for that.
After reading other reviews I suspect that the issue of battery life and performance haunts all the manufacturers. Seems like it is a luck of the draw issue so you have to see how many people have had problems in the reviews. In this instance, very few. I highly recommend this drill.

I purchased 3 of these for my elevator installation business about 1 1/2 years ago. This drill drives screws! It is made to work with all day every day. Great power, fast charge time. So happy, I just ordered 1 more today. Fit's right in a mechanics tool bag, add a set of drill bits and screw tips, and your good to go. I AM A MECHANIC AND WE HAVE THESE AT WORK FOR ALL THE MECHANICS. IT WORKS GREAT. BATTERIES CHARGE QUICK AND HAVE PLENTY OF POWER. I LIKED IT SO MUCH I BOUGHT ONE FOR HOME. FITS IN YOUR HAND PERFECT AND VERY LIGHTWEIGHT CONSIDERING. HAS ADJUSTABLE TORQUE ALSO. WOULD RECOMMEND TO ANYONE LOOKING FOR A GOOD CORDLESS DRIVER.
