Tools and Hardware Reviews of Mirka 23-615-AP Gold 5-Inch 8-Hole Dustless Hook-and-Loop Sanding Disks, 10 Each of 5 GritsCustomer Review: Really good value - Equal quality at better price Summary: 5 Stars
Great value and incredibly fast shipping! These arrived 1.5 days after I ordered them. These are quality pads with good backing for a much better price than Norton sandpaper or other brands you see at Home Depot / Lowes. I've been doing lots of sanding of red oak while restoring a 117 year old house and they work great on a Bosch random orbit sander. Very satisfied.
Customer Review: Sanding discs galore Summary: 5 Stars
These sanding discs are great. The price is great and the quality is great as well. Lowes / Home Depot has these for around 3.50 for 3 pieces. One box and you can finish plenty of jobs from start to finish.
Customer Review: Sandpaper discs not as good for metal/rust removing as I thot Summary: 3 Stars
I don't know if I expected too much, but I thot rust would come off easy with these. It worked to a certain degree. I am an artist and I paint on old sawblades at times. Need to sand the blades first, then rustproof. Then prime, then paint. Maybe I am doing something wrong? I just used the coarsest grit and went over and over it. Should I have used another kind of sanding disc? Or finer grits? I love the ease of on/off on the sander.
Customer Review: The best sanding disk ever.... Summary: 5 Stars
I absoulutely love the Mirka 5" Dustless Hook and Loop Assortment Pack. It included everything I need to start sanding all the different woodworking projects that I do. I was impressed with how long the disks lasted and how well they stayed in place on my Makita Orbital Disk Sander.
Customer Review: The happy camper Summary: 5 Stars
I bought these disks to go with my new DeWalt sander. In the first hour I burned three of the 80 grits but I took the ancient varnish off a 3' x 6' oak panel in the process. I bought the DeWalt when I saw how fast I was going through sheets of paper on my old quarter sheet vibrator. Now - I see the disks as expensive but a bargain compared to the sheet sandpaper. I get more work done with less time, effort and cost per square foot now. And the wood looks great - no scratching with the coarse paper. I'm looking forward to the finish sanding steps.
