Tools and Hardware Reviews of Moshi Voice Interactive Talking Alarm Clock

Customer Review: Helloooo.... Moshi
Summary: 5 Stars

This alarm clock is fun and it works.I concur with other reviews about some of its flaws such as it being a bit loud and the disco style nite lite. But it does work by voice command very reliably.Setting the alarm is one simple voice command instead of trying to adjust settings and times on a standard digital alarm clock. It looks great too.

Customer Review: Hi Moshi
Summary: 5 Stars

My wife loves it. Finally able to set an alarm simply by giving it simple voice commands.

Now how about developing coffee pots, house lights and other electrical appliances to work with voice recognition.

Customer Review: Hi, Moshi, what was that again?
Summary: 3 Stars

I purchased Moshi for my 85 yo mum and perhaps that was a mistake. But even I forgot how to word most enquiries since they have to be exact. So we just had to leave it at 'time' and 'temperature' and Moshi isn't always understandable, especially, I'll bet, to 85 yo ears. There are quite a few thing Moshi is capable of doing, but where did I put that list? And just where is that magnafying glass? One or 2 word commands must be a must mustn't they fellow Moshi-ites?

Customer Review: Husband loves this clock
Summary: 5 Stars

We've been looking for a replacement for our old talking alarm clock, and finally a new product that bests it by far. Most older products have less-than optimal design and you must know what buttons to press in order to get them set properly. This one requires only that you remember a few common-sense commands.

Any talking clock would wake up a sleeper in the same room. The volume is high and hopefully the manufacturer will provide adjustable volumes on each of the sounds, alarm, sleep, etc., in the future.

My husband loves this clock, it is simple to operate and fairly sensitive. He has a deep voice and can talk to it from at least 10-15 feet away and it responds well. We put ours in the kitchen on top of the fridge for now, and the nightlight will help him to navigate a bit when his vision is particularly bad.

We will be buying at least one more clock for a second location in our home, and possibly another for a vacation trailer.

The company web site has an interactive example of how the clock works if you are unsure if it will work for you. Their website is not optimal for the visually impaired, however.

Customer Review: It works
Summary: 5 Stars

I got tired of trying to push those tiny buttons on digital clocks to change the time and alarm, especially after they tend to wear out. Moshi works. Tell it the time, and it is there. Tell it when you want to wake up, and there it is. It also gives you a nine minute snooze. It does have a bug or two. If more than one person is talking in the area (tv and radio included) Moshi can get mixed signals. Also very occasionally does something on its own when triggered by the television or other vocalization which comes close to a command. Overall great product and to see how it works before buying go to the Moshi manufacturer's website.
