Tools and Hardware Reviews of Mosquito Barrier 2001 Liquid Spray Repellent, 1-QuartCustomer Review: Does not work Summary: 1 Stars
Don't waste your money on this product as it doesn't work. I bought the larger size jug as I have over an acre of property. I used the product as directed and saw no results so I tried it again a few weeks later and still no results. I had much better luck with the Off! brand lawn product. I read the testimonials on the company website and thought that I'd try a natural product. They have a 30-day money back guarantee but don't even bother with this product as it is totally ineffective.
Customer Review: Doesn't Work For Asian Tiger Mosquitoes Summary: 1 Stars
I live in North Carolina and we have a huge problem with Asian Tiger Mosquitoes in the back yard. It is so bad we cannot go outside any time of day without being bitten. Putting on long pants and a jacket to do outdoor work is the only way we can avoid getting eaten alive by mosquitoes. I used Mosquito Barrier per the directions and made 3 good applications over the backyard and deck with this product over a 3 week period. Immediately after the product was applied the mosquitoes went away however, after about 1 day after each application they were back again in full force. Basically, as soon as the garlic smell was gone the mosquitoes were back again. I would not buy this again. The effort required to spray this product around is not worth it for being mosquito-free for only 1 day. This product might work for a backyard with a few mosquitoes here and there, but for Asian Tiger Mosquitoes (which bite 24-7 in sun or shade) this product is very inept. I am going to try something else. Also, the shipping is very expensive for such a small bottle. Ridiculous!

Suburbs north of DC - lots of Asian tiger mosquitoes. Mosquito Barrier when applied as directed had absolutely no effect.
Customer Review: Don't waste your money and time Summary: 1 Stars
Followed the directions: mixed equal parts MB with veggie oil and used the pump sprayer. Not windy, no rain for the next few days...the hordes still come. I sprayed every inch of our property of half acre mostly grass and other than the garlic smell, nothing has changed. We can't be outside for more than a few minutes before mosquitoes are swarming us like a biblical plague. I don't blame Mosquito Barrier, they tried and failed like all other natural repellents, but this stuff didn't even work a little bit. It does not kill on contact like it claims, I tested this thoroughly. Actually may be an attractant, as mosquitoes were landing on the sprayer while I was pouring the stuff in. Sadly, its back to square one for us. Don't waste your time and money here.
Customer Review: Doubling the dose seems to help against Asian Tiger Summary: 5 Stars
From the other reviews and one reviewer's comment, I concluded that the difference between the west coast success and east coast failure was the Asian Tiger mosquito. So I doubled the concentration to 6 oz. per gallon and sprayed everywhere I could. My dog usually attracts a cloud of mosquitoes whenever he is outside. After the spraying he only attracted a couple and none the next day. I see an occasional mosquito wandering through the yard, but it doesn't come after me. She seems lost. There are still mosquitoes in my driveway and in the woods behind my house where I haven't sprayed, but I plan to spray those areas next. Now that I know that Mosquito Barrier will work, I plan to use as needed, and heavily, until the season is over (first freeze). My neighbors have noticed the smell but they like it.
