Customer Review: Cleans better than any mop I have ever used before

This mop out cleans any conventional sponge mop I have used, or frankly any tool for washing a floor. I love it.
I have an old "Quarry Tile" kitchen floor -- with rough, porous clay tiles. This mop is the only one to actually get the dirt off of these tiles. I can tell - the first pail of wash water actually goes nearly black with dirt, and then, if I go over the floor again the new water basically stays clean.
With my old mops it didn't matter how many times I changed the water in the pail and mopped again - there was always more dirt.
Then why only four stars -- the price and the durability. The mop head is soft and wears out quickly - you will need a new one in 6 weeks - 2 months. And it is pretty expensive for a refill.
However, time is money - and this mop will save you a lot of time on your mopping up.
Just an aside, I am using the mop head on my old, ordinary mop handle/holder. I had no problem attaching the Mr. Clean mop

The replacement sponges (magic eraser) don't fit. Chinese junk. The sponge doesn't fit because the threads are badly cut.
Nothing fits. I had to take the sponge back twice because I thought I'd installed it incorrectly. After the third time, I gave up.
There is no quality control in the fittings. Get a Libman instead.

In the refill pack I bought, the screw did not fit the sleeve. It was not just slightly too large, it was far too big, and it was obvious that nothing was going to make it fit. I contacted their customer support to report the problem, and was completely ignored. No response at all.
Needless to say, I'll never buy another Mr. Clean product.

I love the magic erasers so much when they came out that I called customer service and asked them to consider making a mop. Imagine my delight when they did. I grabbed it up and all the refills they had. Well no product could be further from the original than this. Not only are the replacements ill fitting, the mechanism is awkward, cumbersome and require the strength of Mr. Clean himself to squeeze the water out of it. Worst of all is that the eraser part is not the same material as the original hand held ones in the box. It is just a piece of foam. I called customer service and the person who answered was totally blasé. It appears that the people who make the originals do not make these mop "erasers." Someone wanted to make a quick buck. Do not give them yours.
