What can a mop that doesn't get rinsed really clean up? Unless your floor is almost spotless to begin with this is not effective at anything other than spreading the dirt around.

The other item to consider is washing the pads. I threw one of these in with a load of lights (cold wash) and it didn't come out clean when I pulled it out of the dryer and had a not so good smell. So now I am a bit reluctant to throw these things in with clothes/sheets especially with an HE washer. They really need hot water and bleach and a load that you feel comfortable washing them with.

I have had a Mystic Maid mop now for 15 years and use it nearly every day. There are lots of products that mimic it but none as good as Mystic Maid. Don't be hoodwinked into buying others! Buy the best and get the best results. I purchased a new one only because I wanted some of the newer mop heads. I found that they have improved the mop heads to work even better than the first one purchased. Dirst and dog/cat hairs just can't hide from the mop and the turning abilities of the mop handle is just terrific!

My cleaning lady asked me to buy something like this because she didn't want to use the old fashion mop and bucket. As much as I would prefer her to use the old fashion tools, I could not find a cleaning lady who is willing to use the old fashion tools because they require some body energy. So I bought it and she compared it with the similar ones her other clients use, and said this is better because it's lighter, thinner and it reaches under the tables, etc. After the first cleaning with the original cloth that came with it, I found that the floor was not as clean as when she used the washing towel and bucket; I later on bought the thicker cloth and the floor was cleaner. If you want to use something like this, get a ticker cloth attachment.

Whenever it was time to clean the house, my husband would use every trick in the book to procrastinate. Now, after using the Mystic Mop just once, he's actually suggesting that we clean more often. He loves this mop! Our floors have never looked cleaner, and he only used water. The swivel head makes it easy to reach corners, and under cabinets. It's fast & easy to use, and you just throw the pads in the washer when you're done. Highly recommended! (I also hesitated to buy this mop after one reviewer suggested the other reviews were fake. I'm glad I made the purchase. This mop is awesome!)
