I understand that this is an inexpensive tool, but really, at least the measurements should regularly increase as the jaws widen. Just going up and down the slider smoothly, the numbers jump all over the place.
This is a piece of trash, and not even worth the $15 or whatever it was.

The good: The accuracy seems to be within state tolerences. Functionally, these calipers do what they say they'll do. And for the price, they are a bargain in comparison to what you used to have to pay to get thus level of accuracy.
The bad: Anyone who is used to the feel of high quality vernier or dial calipers is going to immediately notice how cheap this product feels. Not sure if the cheapness will impact the long term reliability as I have not owned them long enough.

The item was received fast. It looks very good but have one little sticky point around 2.5" on the scale. However this does not hamper the accuracy. I tested this with a calibrated Starret 6" caliper and it was dead accurate throughout the range. Cannot expect anything better. The zeroing feature at any point and instant conversion from inches to metric is very handy. Comes with a strong protective case. I purchased 4 of these calipers for our cabinet shop to replace our dial calipers for ease of use. These seem to be very accurate, each come with an extra battery and a decent storage case. Haven't used them long enough to know how long the battery lasts. A lot of our equipment has digital readouts, so the large display and the SAE and metric readings are much faster and easier than the dials. For the price on these and the accuracy, I would highly recommend these digital calipers to anyone that wants to upgrade.Customer Review: Amazing accuracy, especially considering the price

I bought this at a Trade show for $25, and I am totally blown away by this thing's accuracy. It gives you precise, consistent readings, every time. I even tried it on some valve clearance feeler guages that go as thin as 0.0015 in, and this caliper matches down to the very last decimal place, EVERY TIME, on every guage. It does mm, inches in decimal form, and even inches expressed as a fraction. For instance, 11/32 of an inch can be shown as 11/32 in, 0.3490 in, or 8.87mm.
Now consider that you can get this off amazon for $15. Why haven't you bought it yet?
