For the price, this caliper is an excellent value. It really does meas down to 0.0005", and does it quickly. Yes, I know a micrometer is the gold standard for precision, but this item does the job for most applications and the readout is quite nice. Glad I bought it!Customer Review: Broke after 2 weeks

Worked great for about 2 weeks then the LCD went bad. It's unable to take a measurement because the display shows random values, does not zero and doesn't turn off. The only way to turn it off is by removing the battery but since it's broke I don't care. It's not worth the time or money to return for a replacement.
