A very bright light. But it is difused, unable to focus. Still, everyone who sees it is impressed. I am pleased with the purchase. But I think a better "compact light" is the single-AAA mag light. This flashlight is fantastic!!! It's hard to find a flashlight this small that illuminates so well! I primarily use the flashlight when taking my dog out at night and between her leash, and my gloves (in the winter), there isn't a lot of room to hold a flashlight but this one does the trick. I highly recommend it. Also, the seller was wonderful to deal with. I received the product quickly and in excellent condition!
