It's definitely a cheap flashlight. I bought one and used the heck out of it for about 2 months but it's broken now. Great bright light in a small package while it was going. I'd say I got my dollars worth out of it, but the build quality on this is flimsy and I would expect about the same longevity out of another unit like it. If you aren't expecting a mind-blowing revelation in lighting and just need a basic flashlight for small tasks, this could be exactly what you are looking for.Customer Review: Giant Light

I've been looking for a long-lived flashlight for many years. This one does it all. I use it for my night photography and many other things. Very ruggedly built - already dropped it twice with no effect, and there's no puzzle about where the switch is - you can feel it on the end and switch it with heavy gloves on. This product constantly surprises me - it's light weight, size and most of all the brilliance of the light. It is not recommended to point this in someones face; it can hurt the eyes! Very useful for mechanics to see in small cramped spaces in the engine bay, useful also for older folks with not so perfect vision. The only problem is that this "brilliance" is only for a short distance; if this product could project this powerful beam further, this product would be perfect!Customer Review: Good cheap and durable...

I bought 3 of these one for each of my vehicles emergency kit and one for my homes emergency kit, suffice it to say that I've ended up using these little flash lights at every turn. These little guys fit real nice in your hand and dear god they are bright for their size. Their small size and the fact that they take cheap regular double AA batteries, which with hours of use I have yet to replace them. I'm going to buy some more for sure, for my girlfriends car kit and several other people. Buy it and you'll be as happy as I am.
