Tools and Hardware Reviews of Neiko Super-Bright 9 LED Heavy-Duty Compact Aluminum Flashlight - Gunmetal SilverCustomer Review: Caution on included batteries Summary: 4 Stars
I purchased six of these flashlights in July, 2008. I first noticed that the light was 'somewhat' dim but, not having too much experience with LED flashlights, I accepted this as 'normal'. I had the occasional reported problem with not lighting and having to shake the light or unscrew/re-screw the base to get it to work. Recently I decided to change the batteries (to a "brand name" battery) in all the units and what a surprise......all the lights were MUCH brighter than with the original batteries , except one, and the exception was that the acid had leaked from the batteries and ruined the contacts. My bottom line: all the 9-LED lights offered by different manufactures are probably the same, but the batteries make the difference. If you get these, throw away the included batteries and put three name brand ones in and be happy with your purchase.
Customer Review: Cheap and bright lights Summary: 4 Stars
I bought two of these just to have them lying around the house. They are pretty bright, but like most LED flashlights, they don't really cast a beam. It's more of a diffuse glow.
Customer Review: Cheap, bright, does the job. Summary: 5 Stars
There's not a lot to say. The torch is very bright - LEDs have come a long way. It doesn't feel particularly sturdy, but if you just need a simple basic torch, that you don't expect to have to go through a lot of abuse, this one does the job.
Customer Review: Cheep, bright, works... what more is there? Summary: 5 Stars
I was alittle afraid I was getting what I paid for with these flashlights before they showed up. At about $3.50 ea (I got 2). I was half expecting a peice of junk. I was wrong.
Its not the brightest flash light you'll ever own, but at about 3 inches long, its not ment to be used as a spot light, it's ment to light up a small-med sized area, and it does that job perfectly.
Made of metal, LED lights last forever, the back click button for on/off didn't feel like it was gonna go out on me anytime soo So overall I feel like this little guy can get tossed around a bit in my glove box until I need it.
For $3.50 - its a great little buy if you need a small little emergency flashlight for a glove box, tool box ect. I was very happy with how bright, it was, and how sturdy it felt.
I DO recomend this
Customer Review: Compact and Quite Bright Summary: 5 Stars
I ordered 10 of them this time to scatter about the house and cars. Two of them didn't work out of the box but by exchanging battery holders and switch/end caps among 4 of them I achieved 100%. Very light weight, easy to stick in pockets or carry in same grip with leash at night. Put one everywhere you might need a light. I gave 9 away at Christmas and they were a hit. Take my word for it, you don't want to look right at the LEDs when they are on.
