First of all the price was excellent and the fact that I did not have to pay shipping made the deal even more sweet.
When we purchased out Queen size mattress, I knew sheets were pricy, but I had not looked at mattress pads. After pricing them at WalMart, I couldn't believe the prices (and this from a "discount" store). But after looking at Amazon, I knew what a deal I had found.
After receiving the pad in the mail and taking it out of the wrapper I immediately fell in love with it. The soft stretchy side panels holds the mattress pad securely to the mattress and the cushy top helps make our semi pillow top mattress extra soft.
I am very glad I happened on this item.

A suprising value. I got this to cover a double high "air bed" I bought here on Amazon (review forthcoming) and was very pleasantly surprised at the overall quality of this item.
The top is soft and well padded with a smooth surface that is very pleasant to the touch. Definitely just right for covering a plastic air mattress...grin.
The stretchy side material appears to be better quality than a lot of similar products and indeed can handle quite deep matresses. The air bed in question is a double-chamber thing nearly as tall as a regular bed stands and the side material reached to the base and wrapped around without excessive force or stretching...and stayed there. I've had mattress pads that constantly "crept" loose and wandered back up the sides to join us in bed so this is a most welcome change.
I plan to buy the larger size of this for our normal bed in fact.
It came out of the dryer in good shape and did not shed anything unusual. I like this product and reccomend it without hesitation.

For under fifteen dollars this is an exceptional mattress pad. The sides are a very heavy and opaque nylon tricot fabric ( like a slip) and the top a very close woven cotton fabric- it is substantial and heavy, came in a clear zippered bag- I really don't understand how this could be manufactured and shipped and sold at this price-and how Amazon could make a profit on this. Great fit, great quality.
We bought this matteress pad for our twin daybed in the twin size. It's used in our guest room and fits a little larger but stays secure and is very comfortable. Have not washed it yet.
