Customer Review: A Hybrid between a Lamp and a Heating Device

As many other reviewers noted, this lamp:
- is incredibly hot (I know it's normal for a halogen lamp, but this is more than your average hot halogen lamp); this lamp truly is a fire hazard and - if you're close to it while reading, as I assume most people are, it's like reading next to a stove (I was literally running my AC on higher when the lamp was on in the summer)
- for this reason, the little metal parts that are there so that you can adjust the lamp are completely useless if the lamp is on and if you want to avoid burns on your fingers
- the construction is bad - the mechanism for adjustment is not convenient and the lamp ends up hanging like a Leaning Tower of Pisa even if you don't want it to
My bulb just died and, instead of replacing it, I am buying a new lamp and getting rid of this one, so, no, I would not buy it again.
