Tools and Hardware Reviews of OXO Good Grips Silicone Sink StrainerCustomer Review: I Love It! Summary: 5 Stars
Like one of the previous opinions, I can't believe I'm writing a review of a sink strainer. One of the "yuckies" in life is cleaning out the little bits of food etc that accumulate in the sink and this wonderful little gadget traps 'em all, does not impede the flow of water, and is wonderfully easy to just pop out over the trash. It is also then very easy to wash before returning to the drain. Life often is about the "little things", and this is one of them that makes me happy.
Customer Review: Keeps the water flowing Summary: 5 Stars
This is a good strainer. It will not back up the drain. The water keeps flowing while it traps debris. Other strainers I have used in the past often block the drain and back up the water. This one does not do that.
Customer Review: Love 'Em Summary: 5 Stars
I recently purchased these at store because I was given a gift card for the store. I had been wanting them for a while. I am VERY pleased with them. They are easy to empty by turning inside out over trash can and rinsing under the faucet. One thing that sold me on them was the stainless steel rim. My stainless steel sink is in good condition, but the pipes that connect to the top of the sink are discolored, scratched and ugly. The stainless rim that holds the black mesh filter part of the strainer just fits into that opening where other strainers I used did not. Just makes the sink look better when nothing is in it!
Customer Review: Must have if you don't have a garbage disposal. Summary: 5 Stars
This is hands down, the single best kitchen tool we have in our house. It is so easy to clean. Nobody wants a bunch of food bits left to rot in the drain after doing the dishes. I give it 1.5 inversions, and if anything is left I can pick it off while popped out.
Customer Review: Nice while it lasted Summary: 2 Stars
I received this strainer in May. I was so pleased with it, it fit perfectly in my drain. Caught every bit of debris.
Easy to empty by pushing the rubber stopper through to the other side, right into the trash. Here's the rub.....today when I went to empty it, 1/2 the rubber stopper had torn away from the metal rim. So, although I was thrilled at first, I am now seriously disappointed(it didn't even last 2 months).
