This product is BRUSHED stainless steel. It isn't shiny like the photo. I've had this paper-towel holder for over 2 yrs and I'm completely satisfied. It can hold any size roll as far as my experience goes. It looks great and the design should work in any kitchen. Most of all, it functions beautifully. The base is very stable and I can rip off a sheet with *one hand* easily. There is no need to use 2 hands which is so inefficient and makes the towel holder dirtier. That's the reason I got rid of an older one. I hated using 2 hands. This product will not disappoint. I happen to own several Oxo products and believe they put good thinking into function and beauty.Customer Review: Another great Oxo product. Best we've used.

This was a great purchase for me. It is beautiful and works well. I can usually rip off a single paper towel with one hand as it said I could. With some of the cheaper paper towels you will have to hold it with two hands. Couldn't be happier with it.Customer Review: Awesome
