I purchased this coat rack as a replacement for one that was similar in color and style because it had broken. The wood has a very attractive grain pattern, which is accentuated by the light golden oak varnish and seems well designed and made, with no rough edges to snag your clothes (or hands) on. It was very easy to assemble despite no written instructions on the diagram. The column and pegs have a built in threaded bolt which you insert into a predrilled socket and twist to tighten; the feet slide into slots and there is a round wooden knob which matches the top of the column and screws onto the bottom to firmly hold the feet in place. Everything lined up perfectly; the coat rack is quite solid when put together, but would be easy to take apart and store if you wanted to. It is 6 ft. tall when assembled. All in all, it seems much more expensive than it was. Perfect for anyone short of space or needing a handy place to hang jackets, scarves, purses or hats.

I just assembled this and I don't know how they can sell them, for $16. It is all I could ask for a coat tree to be.
I got a kick out of the reviewer who thought it was not a good value for the money. IT WAS $16!!!! Anyway, everything fit together snugly it is sturdy and I have a bunch of stuff hanging on it now.

I got this for a relative for a Christmas present. It filled the need perfectly! Small space and no coat closet. This item is reasonably priced, looks great and is easy to assemble. Highly recommend!
