We used one of the ceramic ones before for 3-4 years before the lid broke. In searching for a new one we came across the 1.5 gallon one. It holds a lot more and there are no offensive odors from this one The filters are very easy to change.
We would recommend this one to anyone looking for a good product at a great price.
