I purchased the Handy Switch about nine months ago. I don't have any trouble with it. I use it because I read every night before I fall asleep. My question is: Does anyone else find it burns a lot of electricity? I noticed my power bill was high, and stopped using the handy switch for two months. My power bill was lower. I recently began using my power switch again, and my power bill has been higher.
I am pleased with it otherwise. The only problem I have is with the guy who advertises it on tv. Good gook the moose ! Where did they find that dude!?!?! His voice is very irritating. They should find another spokesperson for their product(s). Now I see he is on The Discovery Channel. Oh Lawd !

I'm using this thing at short range and it works perfectly. i've tested it from 20-25 feet away and it seems to respond exactly the same that way as well. This is a great gadget. Works very well with out issues; ideal for rooms that do not have over head lighting and you need it to operate a lamp. Very easy to use and set up. I purchased two of these and they both are working great. It is a must have if you are looking to put a light switch somewhere to operate a lamp without the expense of running electrical. This product is amazing. I use these switches in my basement, a 50 year old house where there are no light switches. One switch controls the laundry room and the other the pantry area. My only reservation about the product is its longevity, as the original I bought from a TV ad didn't last for many months. That is why I purchased another from Amazon.com The product helps us save energy and works as advertised. We find it be a great addition to our home.
