The wireless light switch is a great idea. I moved into a new place that has a living room with no light switches which made this a must have.
I do not recommend buying this brand. It stopped working after a day of use.Go to Lowes and buy the one they have. It costs a little more but works, and there is no power delay like the Handy switch has.

This product works great; it's really simple to install and use. We have no overhead lights in our old farmhouse's bedrooms, and this solved the problem of stumbling around looking for the bedside lamp in the dark. In fact, we bought two for both bedrooms. Liked the first Handy Switch for the pantry light so much got two more, one for a radio and one for a lamp.
All work nicely with no interferences.
Great product!
P.S. They should show the paper tab on the back of the switch being pulled off in the commercial. That liberates the battery. Visuals are good memory assists. Almost forgot to do that on the second switch - thought it didn't work - until...
