Tools and Hardware Reviews of Ontel Products DRMH-MC6 Dry Max Dryer Lint Removal KitCustomer Review: Pretty good quality Summary: 4 Stars
Did not fit into my dryer vent, but will be useful for other purposes. Before purchasing make sure it'll fit inside your dryer vent.
Customer Review: Save your money Summary: 1 Stars
Unless you have a TON of lint, save your money. I have the type of dryer where the lint tray is just behind the door. The lint trap vent brush works a little bit but only for large amounts of lint. The vacuum hose attachment was virtually useless, even using a vacuum with strong suction. They have to bend it to fit it in the box. When you unpack it the folds stay in the hose. You need to maneuver it around so the bend works with you. I didn't have much lint but it didn't even pick up what was there. I finally gave up and found another method. I suppose this unit would be good if you had a lot of lint, but it certainly wasn't close to the rave reviews I've seen about it picking up batteries and other items.
Customer Review: The Ontel Dryer-Max Lint Removal Kit Summary: 3 Stars
We have a front loading GE dryer.
Somewhat dissappointed with the product (but may be better than nothing.. ).
The part that attaches to the vaccum cleaner, is somewhat wide and is not very flexbile, and doesn't reach deep enough.
The small brush does NOT attach to the lint like "magnet" as they show it on TV. Also not very flexbile, and you can't reach all the area inside. You still have lint remaining inside.
Have not tried the bigger brush yet.
I think the price also is too much for what you get.
Customer Review: This Really Does the Job Summary: 5 Stars
The hose gets all the way into the dryer beyond the lint filter and I was able to clean it out. It took a while, but that 's because it kept sucking more lint out
Customer Review: Universal fit? Not my universe apparently.... Summary: 2 Stars
I'm not sure what they had in mind by saying the vacuum hose attachment offers a "universal fit." It doesn't fit the same universe my Miele vacuum was made in. So in order to make it fit I took an empty two liter plastic bottle and carefully cut off the bottom and top, leaving just a barrel shaped piece of plastic - which I then carefully sliced lengthwise. I rolled it up into a tube shape, fit one end into my vacuum hose for a loose fit, then wrapped that end of my homemade adapter with a layer of duct tape to prevent it from unraveling. Now I can easily slide it into my vacuum hose end when needed. I did the same for the end that fits into the "universal" attachment. The vacuum hose attachment comes folded, and each crease seems to act as a dam preventing anything from getting through. So it requires a bit of squeezing of each crease (running it under warm water helps soften the creases) in order to open/widen them a bit. It now works fairly well and I store it lengthwise without folding it again. For some reason there is a screw at the nozzle end of the "universal" attachment that causes clogging. The brushes work as intended so no real complaints there... Overall, it does work, only it requires some modifications.
