I ordered this item and it arrived broken. It was properly packaged with no damage to the box, yet the heater was damaged (smashed into pieces) and then packaged into the box and sent out.Customer Review: I'm warmed, not nuked.

Optimus H-4110 9-inch Dish Heater.....The housing is plastic, so it's not as strong as the ones in antique stores, but it serves me well. I put it in the bathroom adjacent to my bedroom and leave the door open while I sleep. This keeps me from getting chilled in both rooms. Before I used it, my eyes, sinuses, and throat would get painfully dry from the central heating vent over my bed. Now I keep it shut and just use it parabolic heater. It's a good solution. I also use one so that my pet iguanas can bask. When placed at the right distance, they love it. Because it's only 300 watts, it's not as dangerous as the 1500 watt types which are far too hot.Customer Review: IR parabolic heater

I find this product perfect for what I need; a little warmth in the morning, when I get home from work.
It makes absolutely no noise. I haven't had it long enough to know the length of time it will continue to work, but it seems to be having no problems at the moment.

Okay, as most everyone states, this heater is a "localised" source of heat; one has to have it close by. I have it placed at approx. 3.5 ft to 4 ft away from me. I use it while at my desk and it is the most comforting type of heat. It warms you up with no noise or drafts! Suits my purposes wonderfully!
