I've had this heater for 2 months now, gonna buy another. I use it mostly under my desk - on the low 400 setting it's almost too hot. For a larger room, say 15 x 20, maybe more, the high 800 setting will keep it warm. Best thing, it's totally silent. 2nd best thing is it's low power consumption - other heaters offer only 750 (low) and 1500 (high). I like to lay on the floor with my dog near the heater at night - on low - and read or watch tv, and my other fan-driven heater's would just drive me crazy with the constant rattling noise. This is as good as having a fireplace. It's solid, seams like it ought to last. The knob settings are a little odd, but once you figure them out it's no problem. One of the unique features of this space heater is that it's power settings are 400W and 800W. Most other space heaters are like 750W and 1500W, so this is about 50% less power. With the heating bills these days, saving power adds up in saved $. Even though it uses half the power, this thing really does heat up my room. It's not a great heat up your whole house type of thing since heat rises and will leave the area, but in confined areas like my office, or my bathroom/bedroom, it works like a charm.
Even in the living room, if I put it near me it'll keep me warm, but it won't heat up the whole room since all the heat leaves and floats up stairs. I only have to turn it on for like 15-20min in my office, and it gets REALLY warm in here that I just turn it off and it stays warm for hours.
I highly recommend getting one of these or more! ( I own 2 )

Purchased this heater for a bathroom and utility room that are connected by a doorway. The floor and part of the walls are ceramic tile. These rooms are on an outside north wall and the central heating just doesn't keep them comfortable during the short winter we have here in Louisiana. The total area that needs heat is 10' x 24'.
The Optimus H-5210 is exactly what we've been needing. On the low (400 watt) setting, only one of the quartz bulbs comes on. You can feel the heat within seconds, and full warmth within a minute or two. If we close the bathroom door (we put the heater in the bathroom), the room is heated to 80 in ten minutes or so. We have chosen to use the heater on high (800 watt) and leave the door between the bathroom and utility room open. In about an hour, there was a warm & comfy feel to the entire area.
Because the Optimus H-5210 does not have a fan trying to pull air into the unit, you can set it right up against a wall and out of the way. It only comes out about 4 inches! Don't let the lack of a fan turn you away though, because you can feel the radiant heat at least 6-7 ft. away.
The very best thing about this little heater? Total silence. That means a lot in a small area. We are very pleased with both the look and performance of the Optimus H-5210 and will buy another and put it away as a backup. Great, low price too!
