Tools and Hardware Reviews of Optimus H-5210 Infrared Quartz Radiant Heater

Customer Review: Extremely satisfied
Summary: 5 Stars

We wanted a small heater for our travel trailer, that does not have a fan, to heat our trailer during cold nights when we are are sleeping. Our gas furnace heater is noisy and wakes us up as it cycles on and off during the night. This heater works fine, keeps us warm during extremely cold nights and does not wake us up.

Customer Review: FOR GAS RELIEF!
Summary: 4 Stars

This Optimus heater is exactly what I needed for relief from my extremely high gas heat bills. Since it is only 110v the usage of electricity is very little. I have used it on many cool fall nights since I have recieved it. It is quiet, light and the warmth is more than enough. I am using 3 space heaters this winter, I refuse to turn on the money sucking gas heat. Unless you are one of the lucky few who are financially able to heat your resident with gas. I recommend you use this Optimus and other 110v heaters to slam the door on high gas heat bills. This is located in my bedroom, another in the living room and a spare for use where ever I want it. ELIMINATE YOUR EXTREMELY HIGH GAS BILL WITH 110V SPACE HEATERS!

Customer Review: Fabulous!
Summary: 5 Stars

I think these heaters are the BEST. Infrared heat is very nice. Not Stuffy, and healing to the body if you read the research. In fact you can get infrared sleeping bags that detox and calm you, and infrared lamps.. these little heaters are inexpensive to use, and you can move them from room to room! [...]

Customer Review: Faint heat
Summary: 1 Stars

This unit heats its own case, but nothing much beyond 4'. I tried it in a small bathroom (8x10) and it had very little effect. Stick with heaters with fans.

Customer Review: Favorite Electric.......and nice way to burn money, be careful
Summary: 4 Stars

Unless there is no other way to heat a small space this is a good one. Electrite rates vary. Around the Sacramento, Ca area 1500 watts cost about close to $3.25 AN HOUR! Maybe more in your area. Got that? THREE TWENTY FIVE PER HOUR times 12 hours = about $40 bucks per day? That is why no one uses electricity to heat houses if they can avoid it. 1500 watts is the most common size of electric heater.

This one is 800 watts max so about $1.60 per hour or $0.80 on 400 watts. Not bad to warm one person aiming at you for an hour in the morning now and then or in a TearDrop travel trailer which is why I bought it. Used carefully this nice little heater is cheaper than installing another type of heater burning propane through propane is near half the price for the same heat.

It is the 400 watts with max of 800 that appeals to me. Pretty cheap to run now and then for a short time. Made some marks on the top of the knob so I can look down and know where to turn the knob. Awkward to look at the side for me. Nice "little" heater.
