I had one of those old fashioned metal bracket mounted thermometers outside my kitchen window for years. The face eventually got so weathered by the elements that I couldn't see the temp very well anymore. I had originally figured I would buy another bracket mounted model. But when I came across this unit and saw the favorable reviews I thought it was time to move on. I am happy to say that its turned out to be a very good move. This thermometer installs in 30 seconds, is very accurate, and is large and clear enough for anyone to be able to see clearly. Its nice to see the humidity as well since most thermometers don't bother with that. If your interested in an electrostatic, (sticks to the window type) thermometer let me save you some time on Amazon. This is the most reasonably priced one (taking into account the shipping too) that you will find on here for what you get. The only thing I would mention is measure your window panes, (if you have any) before buying this. Mine are 8 1/2 by 11 and this unit at 10 1/2 inches long just fit in it. Other than that, I highly recommend this thermometer for its price, ease of installation, and overall quality and accuracy...Customer Review: This is a big disappointment

We purchased this "weather station" so we could easily read the outdoor temperature from indoors. We mounted it on a north window in the shade. It is completely inaccurate. When our other thermometers read 35 degrees, this one reads 29 degrees. When our other thermometers read 54 degrees, this one may read 60 degrees etc. (We have tested the other thermometers against boiling and freezing water and they are accurate.) We will have to look for a better item since this one is worthless for our purposes.Customer Review: Universal temperature guage and humidityindicator

Shows both C and F readings as well as humidty. Easily attaches to any window. Put on north side in North America and south side in South America. Makes a greatly appreciated gift.
