I read a number of reviews on this product and decided to purchase it to water my newly installed sod. I was very pleased with how simple this is to program, and so far it has worked flawlessly (have used for approximately 3 months now). I also like the fact you can simply detach the programming unit from the faucet and apply changes where ever you like. We have had this connected to the outside faucet for two years now, and it is still going strong. We do live in a climate with no freezing temperatures. I cut a rectangular slot in the side of a styrofoam ice chest I got at the 99 cent store, and keep that over the whole faucet/ timer setup. That keeps it out of the elements.

After getting an orbit timer at my local lowes that only allowed me to set the timer to turn on every 6 or 12 hours, I returned it and went looking on amazon for a new one. I overseeded my lawn recently and wanted a timer I could set for certain times of day to water. This is exactly what I was looking for. You can set up to 4 specific watering times, and then tell the unit how long to water during each of those times. That helps out alot since I am not home during the day to water. Anyone looking for a great watering timer, look no further. Another awesome feature is the fact that I can remove the programming part seperately to change the program, which means I don't have to unscrew the entire timer to program it.Customer Review: Excelent Product

This device is significantly better than the one it replaced. Easy to set up, easy to install, works reliably. I'll probably get another one for my backyard come spring!
