This is not a bad review of this product. I actually like this pillow, and this particular seller puts 11+ lbs of buckwheat in this sucker. Its one heavy pillow lol. It takes some time adjusting to it, but it is very soft and firm at the same time. I like it also because it doesnt heat up like normal pillows, it stays cool for longer, and seems to absorb your facial heat. This is good for me, because that causes me to wake up and I have have to normally switch sides of my pillow. I have had a sore shoulder a few times sleeping with this pillow, and is most likely due to its weight. I am a side sleeper so that is most likely why. Also, for side sleepers if you put your ear on the pillow you can hear the buckwheat moving and it makes noise almost all night. Its not super loud or anything but i have heard any sound can keep your brain awake, so this might be a problem for some. Overall it is a different type of pillow, and actually quite a cool concept. No nasty smell to speak of, but there is a smell to buckwheat but its not nasty, just something that doesnt go away that you should be aware of as well.Customer Review: Excellent pillow

My king size buckwheat pillow is wonderful. Yes, it's heavy...it's a huge king-sized pillow filled with buckwheat hulls. The nice thin is that it is king-sized. it looks right on my king-sized bed and give me lots of room to pick a spot at night. The buckwheat is wonderfully comforatbale and support me head in just the right way. No more sore neck in the morning. The quality seems to be excellent. The covering is of good quality and the stitching seems to be strong enough to hold all thos hulls in there.Customer Review: Extremely Firm, Beautifully Made

I have been having a very difficult time finding pillows that are firm enough to support my back. I'm trying to sleep at more of an incline for a more healthful solution to heartburn than pills. But they just don't seem to make firm pillows anymore;they label them "extra firm", but they compress down instantly and make my back feel rounded in on itself. I remember having very firm feather pillows years ago, but they seem to have disappeared from the marketplace.
This buckwheat pillow is the answer! It supports - and keeps on supporting. It's a fraction of the price of other pillows I've tried and it's much better made. The fabric shell is stiff and very tightly woven, a perfect fabric to contain the shells. The contents don't clump-up like polyester and gel filled pillows and it doesn't have the smell of feathers. It is very heavy, so it's more difficult to manage changing the sheets, but worth it. I'm delighted to have discovered it.

After searching for highly rated pillows on Amazon, I came across these. I had never tried a buckwheat pillow before, so I was a little skeptical. I was even subjected to ridicule from my girlfriend for joining the buckwheat pillow "cult". But I have now just ordered a second pillow for her side of the bed. She has joined the "cult".
It's hard to describe the difference the pillow makes, but the best way to put it is that the buckwheat pillow does what you wish your pillow would do. When I push it around to make it more comfortable, it stays in that position. It's not overly noisy as some had suggested. I found the weight of the pillow took some getting used to. (this would be a lethal weapon in a pillow fight) And the pillow needs a couple nights sleep to really break in, but even on those nights I still found this to be superior to my down pillows.
The quality is on par with the price. The case feels like it will last, and one can add more buckwheat to the pillow, or remove, as needed.
This is one of the better purchases I have made in my life. You should really try this pillow.

I bought one of these king sized buckwheat pillows to replace an old "as seen on tv" buckwheat pillow i used for over 10 years.Buckwheat pillows are the most comfortable pillows i have every had.However they are not for everyone.These are very firm pillows that contour to the shape of your head and neck.This being said,if your looking for a soft pillow you had better look elsewhere.
These pillows are very firm and pretty heavy but thats the price you got to pay for a good nights sleep.The only reason i am replacing my older "as seen on tv" buckwheat pillow is because i wanted a larger one.These pillows arent really meant to be easily transported so i dont suggest you try taking it on camping trips if you dont have the room or want to lug a heavy pillow around.
Since the first day i used this pillow,i actually started having very long dreams proving to me this pillow is so comfortable that sleeping wasnt a problem.These pillows dont build up heat like typical pillows do.No need for flipping the pillow around trying to find the "cool" spot.No more head/neck sweats!!
When i first got the pillow i felt that the pillow was overstuffed with buckwheat hulls and i thought i would have to remove some but i didnt.The longer i slept on it the longer the pillow seemed to "break in" and the hulls didnt seem as "fluffy" as they used to be.I am going on 7 months using this pillow i have found out that im gonna have to buy another bag of buckwheat hulls to add to the pillow since there has become spots in the pillow that just doesnt seem to have enough hulls to provide enough support anymore.So if you buy this pillow,expect over time that your gonna have to buy some extra hulls to add to the pillow since it seems to flatten out over time.
conclusion---this is a very well made and comfortable pillow but its not for everyone since they are very firm and a bit heavy.I have been sleeping on these types of pillows for many years so im used to them.I am only giving 4 stars since im eventually gonna have to buy an extra bag of buckwheat hulls which is gonna be fairly costly depending on how much i need.If you want a good quality firm pillow that doesnt build up heat to cause head sweats during the night,then one of these buckwheat hull pillows is the answer.The pillows are heavy but i feel its worth it.
