Tools and Hardware Reviews of Organic Buckwheat Pillow - King Size (20" x 36")Customer Review: Hard at first but breaks in well Summary: 5 Stars
First couple nights this pillow was too hard, however after a little use it seems to have broken in and works better.
That said I am not happy with the shipping prices. When I bought this it was 59.99 dollars and 10 dollars shipping.
Now they charge $49.99 and $20 shipping?
It weighs a couple of pounds but not $20 in shipping. It's as if I have to pay for half a tank gas to the post office as well as the couple dollars postage it said on the postage label.
Customer Review: King size buckwheat pillow Summary: 2 Stars
The pillow is very heavy and ackward to maneuver. I still have neck pains. In the middle of the night when your trying to turn over and move your pillow it's not simple at all. The pillow weighs at least ten pounds. I feel like I'm lifting a potato sack. I would not recommend this pillow to anyone and it's too expensive, $19.99 for shipping and handling for a pillow is ridiculous on top of the price $49.99.
Customer Review: Looking for a good night's sleep? Look no further! Summary: 5 Stars
I've used the cheap 'sobokawa' pillows before...these were the only buckwheat pillows available in my area. They were quite small in dimension, so placing them in a king-sized pillow case was just plain silly. My biggest complaint against these cheaper 'sobokawa' pillows is that they would begin to breakdown in a few months as the buckwheat hulls used were not whole hulls, but contained pieces and dust. Yuck!!
But I loved the way I slept on a buckwheat pillow and have been in search of a better option. If you're having this same experience, LOOK NO FURTHER! beans72dotcom makes the best buckwheat pillow I've ever used!
For the first time in months, I have woken up in the morning without neck and shoulder pain. The king-sized pillow fits in the pillow case like a dream. The pillow is heavy...all 17 pounds of it...which keeps it from sliding around the bed and creates a more than ample surface area to rest your head on. So when you roll over, you don't have to wake up enough to drag the pillow with you like the tiny 'sobokawa' pillow.
Thanks, beans72dotcom, for an awesome product. You've got a customer for life!
Customer Review: Love my pillow! Summary: 5 Stars
I've been sleeping on buckwheat pillows since I discovered them on a trip to Japan a dozen or so years ago. This is the first king-size one I've had. It appears to be well-made. Very reasonably priced when compared to other sellers. You can get a cheaper foam or fiber-filled pillow, but you won't get as good a night's sleep as you'll get on this one. Shipped promptly. Would buy from this seller again.
Customer Review: Not for me Summary: 1 Stars
I bought these pillows because I wanted organic pillows for myself, my husband and our daughter. I read the rave reviews that others had left and decided to purchase two queen size and two king size pillows.
First, know the pillows are very heavy and they are hard. I actually pulled my back out trying to put pillow cases on them and ended up at the chiropractor daily for a few weeks. If you have a bad back - do not attempt putting on or taking off the pillow cases...which is difficult.
I slept on my pillow for a few weeks and realized it was making my neck hurt and aspirating the issues with my back.
My daughter didn't care too much for her pillow...it was too hard for her.
My husband however loves his pillow. He agrees they are hard.
That's when I realized that these pillows are for back sleepers and people who do not move while sleeping.
I am a stomach sleeper [which is bad for my back - I know] and side sleeper.
The pillow just was not comfortable.
Unfortunately, I missed the return period and am now stuck with 3 extra pillows.
