I don't know why everyone is complaining about the height of this set. It's no different than any other broom and dustpan combination set out there. It's the exact same height as my old one that needed to retire. My husband is 6'1" and he doesn't complain about it being too short to use. I'm really pleased with this item. It stores so nicely, too. I'm glad I ignored all the complaints and went ahead with the purchase.Customer Review: Not Bad

I was looking for an upright dustpan, a little bigger then this but this will do. My kitchen doesn't have a closet to store away mop, broom and dustpan...so I purchase the upright dustpan to store it with the mop in the space between refrigerator and wall, when not in use.Customer Review: Not a full size item!

Chances are, you are purchasing this with the assumption that it is a full size broom and dustpan. I was just looking to replace one that was lost during a move. It was a similar style dustpan that you would find in a movie theater or other space and the broom was a full size normal indoor kitchen broom. You could sweep your entire house without even coming close to filling the dustpan.
*This* item, however, is miniature. The broom is just over waist-high (about three feet tall) and the actual broom part (with the bristles) is about as wide as your hand. The dustpan is the same height and about as wide. Instead of giving you enough space to sweep the entire house without hitting the trash, you'll probably have to do it once or twice per room. Of course, you wouldn't want to sweep your house with the tiny broom, anyway. It just isn't wide enough to be of any use.
I would advise purchasing this *only* if you are looking for a small kit to sweep around your living room fireplace or around your cat's litter box. If you want a real broom and dustpan to do typical household cleaning, look elsewhere.
You could have inspected the fine print of the shipping measurements and extrapolated from there, I suppose, but it didn't occur to me to do that. There was no indication that this item was not a standard sized item. It really is appropriate to suggest it's just the right size for your kid to use to clean out their playhouse in the back yard.

I need an upright sweep set, and this is the best one I have had so far. I will say, though, that what I really would like is one like A.. Hopkins had in "The Remains of the Day" I believe that one was metal or something. Still, it is much sturdier than others I have had.Customer Review: Not nearly as good as you would expect

From looking at the picture and that this comes from OXO, you would think this upright sweeper would be convenient to use. Unfortunately, it really isn't. The dustpan part doesn't easily go flat when you need it to. Instead you find yourself taking your hand and forcing the dustpan into position. This of course misses the whole point of the upright sweep set. Although it looks like a home version of many of the sweep sets you see out at the mall and what not, the plastic and design makes it a pain to use. My wife was pretty disappointed with it and ended up just going out and buying another broom.
