The shower introduces air into water and creates an airy spray. Yes it creates an airy spray. Installation is very simple. A little help from the internet and I did it. I stay in a rental house and the water used to literally drip from the shower. There was no pressure at all. Not that the water pressure was not good, I think the shower head was faulty. In any case I went to walmart and looked at some showerheads, and they all cost about $10-15. At $30 I felt it was a good deal and bought this. The good thing about this is you can use it as a regular shower head as well as a hand held. Its great for me.
Now lets take a look at some of the complaints in the other reviews:
WATER GETS COLD:
As some of the reviewers have noted, it does lower the water temperature a little. So if you get just about warm to little hot water, or you like to take shower in steaming hot water then this ones not for you. For us there was no significant change in temperature. As I like normal hot water.
NO CHANGE IN PRESSURE OR WATER SPRAY IS AIRY
Ok some of the reviewers said that the water has more air. Well the whole point of the shower is supposed to introduce more air into the water so that we have more oxygen dissolved in the water. It is supposed to be a spa. If you don't like taking bath with a spray of water, then again this is not for you. It increases the pressure by introducing air into the water. So the water comes out as a spray mixed with air.
NOT STURDY OR MADE OF PLASTIC
Well for the price I am paying, I expect nothing more. It has some sturdy parts but most of it is plastic. If you are looking for something more sturdy or something made entirely of metal, you gotta pay more. Trust me, I have looked every where. Online, outside. For this price this is the best you ll get, at least for a hand held.
Well as for longevity I have only used it for about 1 month so cant say much yet. Will surely update my review as and when I see any changes.

When we were on vacation we stayed at a B&B that had the best shower head, it had a hard spray and created mist/steam. We searched everywhere looking for something like it but couldn't find anything close in box stores. Finally we came across this at Home Depot online, (paid quite a bit more then its offered for here) and absolutely it! It is better then the one from vacation because its handheld as well! This shower head is absolutely perfect! It sprays hard and creates a misty steam like a sauna, fills the bathroom. It feels like it exfoliates as well, we both have noticed our skin feeling softer and cleaner! Best shower experience ever.. its like vacation! Feel like we need to buy more to ensure we always have one! EVERYONE should have one!Customer Review: Even my plumber loved it!

We have well water and a tiny septic field that overflows with just 2 loads of laundry and a shower. I knew we needed a low flow showerhead, and I researched them extensively, finally settling on this one. It is GREAT! Much more than a mist, and if you need an extra 'oomph' due to using too much shampoo or a sticky body product, just grab the head portion and the long hose allows you to 'powerspot' any area you need more water.
I had my plumber install it, and he wanted to know where I got it. He said it was one of the best low-flow showers he had ever seen.

I have had mine over a month now, and I am very impressed with the product. It was easy to install following the simple illustrated instructions. It took about 5 minutes max and I was taking my time. The spray is consitstent and feels very nice on the skin. It is perfectly compatible and in use with my shower filter. The prouct is nice looking, sturdy, and of good quality and in my opinion will not break unless subjected to abusive treatment. Definately one of the best investments I made so far this year. I have two showers and both had WaterPic handhelds and I wanted to replace both with a brand that was attractive, lower water consumption, and with an excellent spray. Well, I was astonished when I took my first shower. This was an experience that was a pleasant surprise. I read the other reviews, but I was not prepared for the "hosing" I got when I turned on the water.
I would recommend this to anyone who wants to shower and have control over the spray. It was very relaxing. It makes the morning shower something to look forward to get ready for the rest of the day.
