This is one of thous things that you can live very will with out, but if you are wondering what an appliance costs you to run, then this is a amazing little tool. After you program into it the cost you pay per kilowatt, an easy job, it will calculate for you what you are paying to run that appliance per hour, day, week, month, and year. I got mine after I had bought a infrared heater, but that is another story. The only con that I can see is that it works only for 110 volts and can't be used for 220.Customer Review: Fun, fun, fun, but a little bit pricey

If you are like me and fret over every wasted watt of energy, then this gadget is for you. It is very simple to use and seems fairly accurate. Mostly it is confirming what I suspected about most appliances like, how much power is that TV really using when it is on or off.... The cost display is really nice. After putting in your electric cost in $/KwH, the display will show you your total cost (since reset), cost/hr, cost/day, cost/year.
The only drawback to the design is that the unit will take take up both plug spaces in a normal duplex plug outlet. The body of the unit hangs down too low and interferes with the lower plug. I use the unit with an extension cord to get around the issue. Also, this unit is about twice the price of the non "EZ" model which is almost identical but does not do the cost calculations. I have both models and I think the lower priced unit is a better value.

Easy to understand instructions. An idiot could even figure out how to use based on the instructions. It was easy for me to use and understand even at age 63. I recommend this product for any person who has an IQ over 5. THANK YOU for the P4460 Usage Monitor and the EASY to understand instructions. I like the information this device provides me. It will definitely help me to evaluate some of my older electrical items to determine if it's worthwhile upgrading to more energy efficient models (and get nice new features as a bonus).
Pros: It provides all the data as advertised. Yeah, you could calculate your own daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly numbers, but it's quite nice that this model does that for you.
Cons: It needs to allow you to review the results even when it's not plugged into an outlet so you can use it in tight spaces then unplug it and just look at the results. Needs a backlight on the display.
Overall: It does what it says it will do and it's relatively easy to use.
Note: The first unit I received would not display the decimal point on the "cost" displays so it was impossible to interpret the results. Amazon replaced it quickly, without hassle, and without shipping charges. P3 also said they would replace it if Amazon did not. The new unit works perfectly.
