I've had one of these pumps in my system for six years and recently noticed that although it was running, it wasn't pumping. After going to the website and finding some instructions, I took it apart and found a mouse had gotten into the unit, blocked the impeller and the impeller cracked and was spinning on the shaft. No fault of the manufacturer. A quick email to the manufacturer and a new impeller was sent out the next day free of charge with no questions asked. You may wonder why I gave it five stars? It's been six years; double the warranty and it is still operating fine! Customer support couldn't be better.

The PAB3 series is the ideal pump for heavy-duty residential and commercial applications. With a full one gallon reservoir, aluminum reservoir cover and enclosed 3.3" motor frame, the PAB3 is a true workhorse! The PAB3 carries a three year limited warranty, longer than any other condensate pump on the market. This model includes and Hartell strongly recommends that all installations include a properly wired auxiliary safety switch. The auxiliary safety switch will shut down the appliance in the event of a pump overflow condition that could lead to property damage. Pump overflow can be caused by a blocked discharge line, power loss to the pump, or pump malfunction.
