buying this Peet dryer was worth every penny I spent on it. They don't dry the boots quickly but drying over-night works perfect. I bought this item to dry mans sized shoes. I was a bit sceptical about it's performance, and my suspicions were correct. Someone said in a review it took about 6 hours to dry a pair of shoes for their kids, so I thought it would take twice that long for my mens shoes. It takes 24 hours for my size 11 tennis shoes, and if it is a pair of boots, count on two days. If you don't mind the wait, ok. The amount of heat there is at the end of the two rods is almost undetectable, but after 6 to 8 hours with wet shoes on them the feel is slightly warm and dry-ish around the inside upper surface area, but cold and wet everywhere else. I would like to see a version with around 100 watt output for the heat source. That might do the trick in a more reasonable amount of time. I believe these have a 42 watt output. Think of a 40 watt light bulb. They are flimsy so you will have to be careful. My guess is if I have to move then while heavy wet shoes are on them the riser rods will break, so be careful if you chose these. I give them 4 stars instead of 2 because they are not expensive, and not a bad price for what you get. If I had paid say 50 to 60 bucks, I would have given 1 or 2 stars.Customer Review: One of the greatest products ever made.

I gave one of the original M97 dryers as a gift nearly 20 years ago. Since then it has faithfully dried shoes, socks, gloves, hats and boots on a daily basis each and every winter. It also has helped with the occasional trek through a stream or marsh. The PEET Dryer is basically a part of the family. We love it. It does everything it is supposed to, and does so with elegant simplicity. Can't recommend it enough.Customer Review: PEET Shoe Dryer

My husband and I absolutely love this item. We use it every day. It makes your shoes toasty and warm. Perfect just before you head out into the snow. I dont recomend having soaking wet shoes be put on this thing as it is not made to dry shoes. It is made more to warm them and if they are a little damp they will dry your shoe but if you have soaking wet shoes use your clothes dryer. I would recomend this product to anyone that just wants warm shoes to put on before you go out in cold/snowy weather. Our friends come over and they all argue about who gets to put their shoes on the dryer. I could not find this product in any store.
