Do not buy this filter. The quality is so bad you cannot even believe it. I have used four of these and all of them cracked in the window after the first 3 months. We bought this product for the first time few months back. I noticed that the filter itself does not last long. The screw attached to the faucet breaks easily...I don't mind paying for the filter each month- that's the way it should be but if i have to purchase a filter each month, that's another case. The black plastic screw which is attached to the head faucet seems to break every few weeks. I ended up buying the whole filter system all over again.
I am switching to a different brand. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!! You can see from reviews by other people who bought this product....

I bought the 3 stage PUR faucet system recently. It worked fine for about 4 weeks (which is the length that most people say) and then it started to leak. The flow is also significantly decreased in about that length of time, and the filter had only been placed for 1 month. These were supposed to have 3 months of usage life. I dismounted the entire unit and attempted to re-install with no improvement. There are multiple reports of similar accounts with leak and low flow rate with other users. This is not worth the money or headache to install. If you already bought one of this. Contact their customer service. They will issue you a coupon to buy yet another of this product. Why would I even bother mounting a product that will fail me in one month? I think the quality is horrible and they better improve on quality control.Customer Review: Bad decision

Hi,
I bought this despite the bad reviews to replace my old unit since I still have some filters left. Also the old unit worked okay for a longer time but needed to be replaced.
During the installation the little chrome plastic sleeve under the mounting fell off like it was never really attached.
The filter can`t handle the water pressure at my place, the water comes out above and underneath the faucet mounting ring and mixes with filtered water which is no good.
I used some tape to get a better seal and now the water which still comes out underneath the ring at least does not mix with filtered water.
The unit is defiantly going into the trash after I used the rest of my filters of.
I am much happier with the Culligan unit when it comes to craftsmanship but I can`t say how long the filter is going to last since I just got it.
