Pur Ultimate water filter is the best filter out there. It gets rid of all the impurities and chemicals. We have been using these for several years now. I would recommend PUR water system to everyone and especially families with kids. You dont know whats in your water system, so its always safe to drink filtered water. I needed a refill for my Pur faucet filter and was dismayed by how expensive they were for 1 at the store. They were almost as expensive to buy 1 online as well.
I went with the 6 pick at less than the cost of 2 individual filters would have cost if I had purchased them online. My girlfriend has the same filter, so I gave her 3 of the filters.
It takes a while to go through 6 filters so it would be best if you could find another person with the same filter and split the cost and filters.

This is the standard three-stage replacement filter for PUR faucets. It's their best filter. [They only have two kinds anyway -- three-stage and two-stage. :) ] You save a lot of money when you buy the six-pack. I'm satisfied with this faucet-filter system. Water tastes good and it's less than half the cost of buying one gallon or 2.5-gallon drinking-water bottles at the supermarket. The only drawback is that it takes about 2 minutes to filter a gallon of water. But, then, you don't have to carry water from the grocery store. Also, the filter lasts for only about 25 gallons and then the indicator light starts flashing red, not 100 gallons as it is claimed. I didn't have leakage problems with this faucet system as mentioned by some others. Make sure that gaskets are properly placed and use only gentle tightening for the faucet nut and filter cover during the installation.Customer Review: Buying economically

We originally purchased our Pur water filter on Amazon but upon installation it was defective. Contacted the manufacturer and it was promptly replaced with a coupon to re buy.
When it came time to replace the filter it did not take an economic genius to calculate the cost as one would have cost $15.00 but purchasing the 6 pack the price is less than $9.00 apiece which is a substantial savings, especially if you are retired and on a fixed income, or if you have monies to waste you then can purchase the filter individually.
