I chose the Panasonic MC-CG467 for cleaning our thick carpets in our new apartment. We used to only have wooden floors and our old vacuum cleaner was too big for our small apartment. I wanted a vacuum cleaner that has strong suction power on thick carpet, especially to remove cat hair. I am happy to say that after using it for a few weeks, it works perfectly on thick carpet as well as the kitchen and bathroom floors. Great choice for a small space! The only downside for me is that the vacuum cleaning bag is quite small and has to be replaced more often than I would prefer.Customer Review: Does the job

What decided me on this vac was the rotating brush. Upon use, however, I discovered the brush to be a useless gimmick. The brush only rotates because of the air rushing through the vacuum. It is not motorized. The tiniest bit of hair or dust will stop it dead, and even when rotating it is of doubtful utility. Also, this vacuum is WEAK. I am very disappointed in this vacuum's performance on carpet. It just does not do a good job on carpet. It does poorly with animal fur on carpet. The suction is poor even at the maximum level. The canister flips over easily and turns itself off. I regret this purchase of a canister vacuum. It does well on tile but not on carpet. This canister vaccum is just powerful enough to clean your hardwood floors (bare floors) still does a pretty good job with my rugs at home which are pretty thick.....!!This product by Panasonic...it's the best for the price and size..among others canister vacuums...!
And it was not built with cheap materials like many other and it's category.....!
