Tools and Hardware Reviews of Panasonic MC-UL675 AeroSpin Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner with Dirt Sensor, Sherbert Blue

Customer Review: WEIRD DESIGN
Summary: 1 Stars

I have owned the Panasonic AeroSpin for about one month.

The Good:
The motor fan is last in the air flow chain, so dirt cannot be blown into the air. The powerful suction drives the turbine brush well. The extension hose extends about 10 feet. I got it here on Amazon new for $100 total with free shipping.

The Bad:
Like everyone else says, the Panasonic AeroSpin is HEAVY (I am a fit 160 pound male). Tipping over backwards easily might be a problem if it falls on something valuable. The self rewind cord is spring powered and requires some assistance. By the way... the cord manually powers filter cleaning, pulling on the cord causes the filter to spin. The small wheels make rolling more difficult. The Panasonic AeroSpin is made by faceless workers in some undisclosed location in China who will not benefit from your money, you will never meet them or even chat with them on the Internet.

The Ugly:
I cannot help but wonder about this one. Everything you vacuum goes through the extension hose. That reduces efficiency and prevents removal of the heavy extension hose while floor vacuuming. That might increase risk of damage to the extension hose since everything passes through it. And a damaged extension hose (however it might happen) means no more vacuum cleaner. Does any other vacuum cleaner suck everything through the extension hose during normal floor vacuuming?

It's a Mystery:
Take a look at the Flash Player promo of this Panasonic AeroSpin vacuum cleaner. If you already own it, or you have seen complete pictures, notice that the beater brush area hose that sends air to the extension hose does not exist in the promo. Had Panasonic not figured out how to get the air from the beater brush to the vacuum cleaner body before the promo was made?

Edit 2:
The hose broke off, same as another reviewer. Since everything goes through the hose, that makes this vacuum cleaner inoperable until I glue the hose back on. Good thing I kept my Hoover.

Edit:
I did purchase this through Amazon.
Have had it for about 1 1/2 years.
It is heavy as sin and tips over very easily. I use another vacuum cleaner for regular vacuuming. I just use this one's hose attachment.

Edit 2:
Put it out in front of the house for the junk people to take away.

Customer Review: WOW... my carpets were dirty
Summary: 4 Stars

O.K., I thought my old vacuum worked, I mean the bag got full some how. I used to sell Rainbows, so I know vacuums don't "really" work. But I figured my $150.00 regular vacuum did an O.K. job. We just bought a home that had previously had 3 children living here with parents who must not have cared about their place. It was filthy when we were finally able to move in. We bought a new Hoover carpet cleanerfrom amazon, which is awesome and this Panasonic cleaner. The vacuum works as well as a vacuum can. I am almost embarassed to say that it doesn't take long for the cannister to fill up. When it is full of dirt, it lets you know. It's easy to empty, I recommend doing it outside in the trash can. The dirt sensor works, all the attachments work well. I like the cleaner a lot. One of the reviewers prior had some cons dealing with it being top heavy. It is a bit. I just make sure I lean iy uo against the wall when I am finished. Also, the cord isn't as long as most cleaners. I attach a small extension cord if I need one. Remember, it winds up the cord for you, so It can't be that long. We paid $65.86 for it. WHAT A BUY!

Customer Review: Worst vacuum in 50years of marriage
Summary: 1 Stars

I was impressed by the various marketing descriptions of this vacuum until I used it. Clean it does..but try to empty the container and you might bust a blood vessel or two. The instructions call for twisting two canisters in opposite directions to open but most often it is stuck or defies human efforts. Just is not worth the aggrevation. What a mess...to the dumpster it goes.

Customer Review: a little heavy
Summary: 4 Stars

SECOND PANASONIC VACUUM WE HAVE OWNED, THIS ONE IS A BIT ON THE HEAVY SIDE.THIS MODEL HAS PLENTY OF POWER AND SUCTION, NICE ON BOARD TOOLS AS WELL.SO FAR WE ARE HAPPY WITH THE PURCHASE,CANT BE THE PRICE...QUALITY MATERIALS USED FOR CONSTRUCTION.DOES A GREAT JOB ON CARPET AND ON BARE FLOORS,EVEN WITH 2 DOGS.

Customer Review: heavy and bulky
Summary: 2 Stars

I purchased this vacuum based on the reduced price at that time but really wish I had not done that. It's pretty bulky and heavy with average cleaning power. And personally I really don't care for the bagless design. A dust storm is created every time I try to empty the container. I wouldn't recommend this vacuum to my friends and relatives.
