This vacuum is truly amazing. It picked up more dirt and pet hair (I have a dog and a cat) from one room than my Hoover ever could in a whole year. I test drove other vacuums at local Fry's and this vacuum was the quietest and best performing of them all. Really really happy with this purchase.

Panasonic MC-V7581 Dual-Sweep Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner - This Top-of-the-line Dual-Sweep vacuum by Panasonic brings a new dimension to floor care with the most Powerful and Lightweight Vacuum available in a full size upright design. Full edge-to-edge cleaning is faster and easier with our new Dual-Sweep Vacuum, because its two dirt lifting agitators give extra cleaning performance. Plus its unique and separate hoses pick up dirt evenly on each side.Panasonic makes several versions of the Dual Sweep upright vacuum, but this one comes with the works. Built with a distinctive double-hose design, the 12-amp vacuum distributes suction across the full width of its 14-inch cleaning path. It switches from carpet to bare floors with a simple button and features an edge-cleaning construction for baseboards and furniture. In carpet mode, the floor nozzle adjusts automatically for changes in carpet height and uses counter-rotating dual brush rolls to agitate dirt out of carpet. Completely bag-free, the vacuum collects dust and debris in a large transparent cup that can be removed and emptied when it fills. An enclosed construction and hinged bottom hatch make this process relatively tidy. A pleated filter in the cup traps dust and fine particulates to reduce the amount of irritants in the air. A 6-stage HEPA system filters air as it returns to the room, keeping dander, dust, and pollen inside the machine. A performance indicator light comes on when suction is low, and the dirt sensor illuminates as long as the vacuum is taking up dirt.
With its four-position telescopic handle, the vacuum is flexible for variation in user height, task, and storage capacity. It is also amply equipped for above-floor cleaning with onboard attachments and two hoses. You can use a single hose for short-range jobs or both hoses at once for 22 total feet of cleaning reach. Attachments include two extension wands, a crevice tool, and a combo brush with removable bristles. Other welcome details include a carrying handle, furniture guard, headlight, cord retainer hook, and quick-release cord hooks. For safety, a thermal protector cuts power to prevent overheating, and a motor protector vent automatically opens if a clog occurs.
