Replaced an expensive Rowenta (third one, hundreds of dollars later)with this CHEAP Panasonic. Actually, the ONLY thing cheap was the price. Everything else about this iron .Panasonic NI-C78SR Steam/Dry Iron with Stainless-Steel Soleplate, has surpassed the much more expensive Rowenta. I am very pleased with the quality, durablity, and function of this steam iron and would whole-heartedly recommend its purchase to anyone!Customer Review: Excellent iron

I really like this iron. It does what I want it to do, heat up and take the wrinkles out of my clothes. Its low setting is perfect for rayon while a higher setting is just right for cottons, and it produces the right amount of steam when I want steam. Its heavy enough for good results without being too heavy for comfort.
I especially like the removable water container, which means I can add water for steam without making a mess. I also like that the water level is easy to read. The dial is a bit of a tight fit under the handle, but not a real problem for my small hands. If you care about aesthetics as well as function, it's also an attractive iron. The splash of bright color is a nice touch.
It has my recommendation.

This Panasonic iron replaced an expensive Rowenta that didn't get very hot. It holds more water, gets hotter and irons cottons much better. I know this iron won't fall over with the large stand up resting base. Love the rewindable cord! Someone at Panasonic really put some thought into designing this iron....I have only owned if for a few months now, I just hope it will last, but with the price I will just buy another one.Customer Review: Excellent iron for the money

This so far has been a great deal for the price. i had bought a Shark iron a few months before this and the Shark is the worse iron I have ever owned. I have had $10 irons perform better so I was out looking for a replacement
I looked threw a lot of reviews on here and narrowed it down to a Tfal and this Panasonic. This iron received better reviews so I bought this item. This iron has been great. It spits out great steam making my ironing much easier than it has been over the past few months. I definitely recommend this iron
