I got this item and was very excited, the features looked great. Cordless, you can take the tank off, nice case, etc.
I also had an expatiation that I would be able to use the iron to iron 1 piece of garment such as a shirt, to my big surprise this wasn't true. The iron stays hot enough to iron one slave only, if you continue ironing without re-heat the results are not very good.
The Iron worked fine on garments that don't require high heat such a sweaters

I just used this iron for the first time, and I love it. Ironing goes much quicker without a cord.
I had no problems with heat, and the steam was strong.
One nice feature...when you set the iron back on it's base (while you're adjusting the clothes), you set it on the base and fancy little rollers glide it into place. So it's really easy to set it down and pick it up.
I just ironed three shirts, quicker than ever.

I am surprised at how well this iron does the job... I was skeptical about how long it would hold heat. And would it be hot enough for cottons and linens? Like other, I at first thought this would be a rechargeable product, but after realizing that it wasn't -- and reading positive reviews, bought it anyway. I didn't realize how much water I was losing from the reservoir in my Black and Decker Professional, which was constantly "spitting" on whatever I was ironing and became very irritating. The fact that this one DOES NOT LEAK also means less trips for a refill! My old iron was leaking out so much water, I was refilling every other piece I ironed!
I still feel a little "restricted" which is why I can't give this product 5 stars -- since you still must rest the iron on the electric charger and that has to be connected to an outlet, must rest on the ironing board and also has to be "moved" when using moving from one end of the ironing board to another. However, there's a built-in safety feature.. I was forever burning my arm when adjusting clothing and bumping the iron sole plate ... with the Panasonic, I am forced to put the iron back on the charger, with the sole plate facing downward, so that can't happen anymore.
I do like this iron's ability to reach precarious places because of it's narrow and sharp front-end design. Great for ironing jeans pockets and shirt cuffs. And without the cord, you can get to those places without wrestling the cord.
My cat was quite disappointed..... she always likes to swipe at the dangling cord when I iron...! I would recommend this iron to anyone who does A LOT of ironing -- it's a nice change!
