Tools and Hardware Reviews of Panasonic NI-L45NR Cordless Iron

Customer Review: Hiker review
Summary: 5 Stars

We have not used the iron a lot since receipt, but the experience we have had is excellent. Cordless is great!

Customer Review: Hot Hot Hot
Summary: 5 Stars

This iron is fantastic and stays hot for a long time while it is off the base. I bought it because I am an avid quilter and needed something cordless and that travels well. It is a little heavier than I expected but I think that lends to its durability. I used to use a travel iron that was a waste of time.

My only complaint is that the cord says it is retractable and I think that just means you have to push it back inside the unit and that is not as easy as I hoped. Other than that I give it an A++ and I hate to iron!!

Customer Review: How good could an iron be? Here's your answer. If you just HAD TO have a Dyson, then you have to have this too.
Summary: 5 Stars

If you think that roughly $60 is too much to pay for an iron, you're wrong. This is worth every penny.

Just like the Dyson vacuum, this is not some gimmicky innovation that actually doesn't work any better than something half the price.

Before this, I bought what I thought was the best iron ever--a Hamilton Beach, with all the bells and whistles. Like all irons--I thought at the time--it leaked and dripped a bit, but was all around the best I ever used. It wasn't the best my wife (who is from Japan) ever used though, and even though I didn't believe it was actually worth the cost for whatever small margin of difference, I decided to get her what she wanted.

Glad I did.

It wont burn your clothes even if you leave it sitting on them; the steam is plentiful, steady, and constant; you can remove and refill the tank while the iron is on--no problem; and though there is no power in the iron itself, it heats up, does a great job from start to finish.

The carrying case/cover snaps right on and stays there as you carry it around, and you don't have to wait for the iron to cool completely before closing it up.

BOTTOM LINE: Hands down, perfect iron. Makes the task of ironing even by someone like myself who isn't very good at it, relatively easy. I'd recommend it as a going away present for your college bound children, and expect to see it decades later, still in use. It's really that good.

In fact, this is such a good iron that I'm sure anyone--even us manly men who had become accustomed to cleaning and such exactly 'once per girlfriend' prior to marriage--would be happy to have. I'd even recommend it as a Christmas or birthday present (same as I would a Dyson vacuum or Komachi knife set).

Great stuff.

Customer Review: I Love This Iron!
Summary: 5 Stars

This iron is so convenient and easy to use. I was concerned about the difference in price between the Panasonic and Maytag models but this iron works great. Filling it is easy and I have had no problems with water leaking. I would recommend it to everyone.

Customer Review: I love it!
Summary: 5 Stars

I like not having a cord to contend with. At first it was a bit of an adjustment to remember to put the iron back on the base, but it's also nice not to have to worry about the iron falling off the ironing board. It does an excellent job. I also like the retractable cord a lot. Although I didn't buy the iron for the carrying case, it is very nice.
