This iron is fantastic! It steams beautifully and does not spit at all. Because I live in a hard-water area, I do use distilled water. Regardless, it steams well so I rarely use the "burst of steam" button. I will be purchasing this very same iron for my college-bound child in the next few months. I was given a Rowenta iron from my mother in law around Christmas time and have cussed it and cussed it. Finally I decided to try this iron based on its reviews. The Rowenta went in the trash! This iron is awesome. I just love the retractable cord! The steam is abundant and it works great on everything from my husband's 2XL t-shirts to ironing out the tiniest kinks on little infant clothes. I am so pleased with my new purchase. It is so easy to use, lightweight, and the features that it offers were just what I was looking for. The titanium coat enables the iron to move so smoothly and the retractable cord is great! I am so glad I read all the reviews before I decided to purchase this Panasonic.
