This is my second iron in 2 months. After a couple of good days with this iron it started to leak a brown sticky substance which stained a pair of good pants. I couldn't understand why this substance was coming out so I figured I'll try another one, maybe this one just malfuctioned. Well after Amazon sent me a new at no cost I decided to go ahead and try it again. To my suprise the second one started to leak the same brown subtance that stain another pair of pants. I was so upset because other then that this is a great iron.I will never buy another Panasonic Iron!Customer Review: Bought because of reviews. 3 months later it just quit working

I bought this iron by the advice given here about it being a nice iron. Of all the irons I have ever owned it was merely okay; not really that powerful. I took primo care of it, used distilled water, etc. It just quit working. While I know that anything made in China is a crap shoot anyway, and my case is probably isolated, I at least wanted to let you know my situation. Definitely, I won't buy another Panasonic iron.Customer Review: Can't beat the quality for the price

I still can't get over how well this iron works given it was so low priced. We've had it for a few months now and it is fantastic on all fabrics, including men's shirts, drapes, and table cloths. The cord could be longer, but otherwise I'm 100% satisfied. I would buy this product again.Customer Review: Completely Satisfied

I purchased this Panasonic iron to replace one that I dropped and cracked. I checked the reviews on Amazon and decided to try this one as the reviews were very positive. I have been completely happy with it. It produces plenty of steam even on the low setting. It takes the wrinkles out without me having to use a spray starch that I had been using for years with my old iron. It heats up fast and retains its temperature as I'm ironing. It's not too heavy and it is easy to maneuver around buttons, etc.Customer Review: Decent for the money

I was looking for an iron to replace a Rowenta that I dropped...although I was not entirely unhappy that I needed to buy a new iron as the Rowenta was not nearly as good as my prior iron, a Norelco. I read up on the reviews of the Panasonic iron that I am reviewing and given the cost I figured I was not risking much. I have used the iron for a few weeks and at this point I would rate it as good but not great. It produces plenty of steam which I assumed was the key to getting tough wrinkles out of a garment. Unfortunately that is not the case apparently as the Panasonic is no miracle worker as far as removing tough wrinkles...again, good but not great at this task. The iron has a nice feel to it and is not light nor heavy. I don't actually know what the key to getting wrinkles out - could it be that the Panny just does not get hot enough to smooth out those stubborn wrinkles? Over the holidays I was visiting family and they had a Black and Decker iron that did a great job of removing wrinkles.It was an older model but did a really nice job of ironing garments. And as noted above the Norelco I had years ago was a stellar performer, but cost probably at least double what the Panny retails for. Anyway, I'm happy but not thrilled with this product.
