Tools and Hardware Reviews of Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200-Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate, White/Green

Customer Review: Excellent iron!
Summary: 5 Stars

I had Panasonic iron for 8 years, and now I bought iron from this company again. I can't even tell you how I like work with it. Recommend to everybody.

Customer Review: Fantastic iron
Summary: 5 Stars

Watch out Rowenta ... the $23 Panasonic is a VERY capable adversary!
If you actually enjoy ironing, and find it therapeutic, as I do ... then you know what your high standards demand. A smooth glide along both axes, reliable steam bursts that do not create a puddle, a misting jet spray, and above all, a truly non-sticking soleplate. Well, used to be that you had to spend $50+ for an entry level Rowenta to get all that.
The Panasonic NI-S300TR makes it all possible, and under $25. It has just the right weight and the glide is effortless. I was skeptical of two things about the soleplate: curving and its titanium construction (I thought they were useless gimmicks). I stand corrected. The curved soleplate means that no matter which direction you glide the iron in, it will not bunch up material underneath it. I also thought that nothing could surpass stainless steel in its non-stickiness. Again, wrong. This iron delivers the same crisp finish of a stainless steel plate.
I highly recommend this iron. I may even buy one more as a backup in case Panasonic discontinues this model.

Customer Review: Fast heating, cool retractable cord.
Summary: 4 Stars

Nice looking, white and lime green iron. You can easily see how much water is left through the transparent green top. Water is easy to pour in, and easy to snap close. The retractable cord is really very convenient. When it is time for storage, all you need to do is push a button. From time to time you may need to help it with a little tug or a push, but still way better than having the whole cord dangling around. No annoying cord mess. Good weight balance. Has easy access buttons for the steam and spray functions.

The iron is fast on heating, you can use it almost instantly after you plug it in.

The bottom part is curved to help slide better on clothes. Still, it does not slide as smooth as our old retired iron. It is heavier than our old iron which helps in pressing the fabric better. That doesn't mean it is heavy, in fact, I think the weight is just perfect.

There are 3 ways it will auto-turn off. 1) Will turn off in 1 minute if you leave it stationary on its flat heating element. 2) Will turn off in 1 minute if it was left lying sideways, and 3) Will turn off in ten minutes standing on its heel where the retractable cord reel is.

Definitely a great upgrade to our old iron. I did look around before making a purchase, I found this to be of great value for the price.

Customer Review: GREAT IRON!!
Summary: 5 Stars

This is truly a great iron at a great price. Easy to use and very good options.

Customer Review: Gets the job done with less strain
Summary: 5 Stars

If you are looking for an iron that just gets the job done and does not have the whistles, you CANNOT go wrong with this cheap alternative. I've been using rowenta for the past 12 years and broken 2 of them. Yes this panasonic may not have that German look and finish, but for this price, you get an iron that heats up instantly, a non-stick that stays and for some reason doesn't stick to clothes even at the higher than rated setting for the clothing. The steaming is very handy, and get the wrinkles out fast. I've used this for the past 6 months and am firmly a believer of the KISS(keep it simple stupid) principle. Great job panasonic
