I have been picking up my English walnuts for years by various means but usually end up with black fingers, lost gloves, aching back and not that many walnuts. No more! I bought this astonishing gadget for my brother who has a couple of pecan trees in his yard and hundreds of pecans and leaves on the ground (which means you must lean or squat down to move leaves around to find the elusive little buggers). At a Thanksgiving visit I spent over an hour compulsively picking up pecans. For the next two or three days I remembered that activity in my back and legs. I needed a better nut cracker in order to partake of my bounty and went looking on my favorite web site. On the way I found this pecan gatherer and realized it was a perfect gift. He loves it. He says it makes short and easy work of picking up these delicacies. I love it when something works as advertised.Customer Review: Easy to Use and Durable

I've taken a look at other models and have used some of them. When this one arrived I was very pleased with it's solid construction. I took it outside to try it out and found it to be pretty easy to use. Rather than pushing straight down on the pecans, I give it a slight roll onto the pecan which seems to work really well.Customer Review: Great for brass pickup

No idea how it does for pecan pickup. But it works great for picking up ammo brass. My new range requires you pick up all spent brass. After two trips picking up brass as long as shooting, I looked for an alternative. This is it. I've only tried it on .45 brass. Works great on that. I'll try it on smaller casings later, so can't comment on that. But if you're a .45 shooter and are required to clean up your brass, this thing is the ticket. The guys at the range loved it. Suspect I'll be seeing more of these next time I go out to shoot. The mfg should be marketing these to gun supply houses as well.

Great product, easy to use! This works on my large pecans as well as the smaller ones. I don't know how anyone with a pecan tree is without this product!
